Before the Season Ends - Playtest Edition

Before the Season Ends might be a “Regency romance” game, but even more than that, it’s a “Regency friendship” game. This is a roleplaying game where you play a group of young women coming of age and entering society for the first time together: becoming friends as you experience the highs and lows of “the London season”. You’ll go to great galas and beau monde events, look for love, find mentorship among other women, and all the while you’ll help each other find new ways to face problems and overcome challenges with your unique social and emotional resources. You’ll find that the space between your father’s house and your husband’s is wide open with possibility - or you’ll make it so.

This game is best for 4-6 players, with one acting as a facilitator, but it can work for 3-7 players. You will need pencils and erasers, and some printed materials that come with this game (character sheets, NPC trackers, a few other play sheets), as well as a set of the tokens that come with this game (10 of each playbook token, 8 mentor tokens, 5 stress tokens). A session of play typically takes between 2 and 4 hours. The full season takes between 6 and 12 sessions.
